The mission of KIPP Troy Prep is to prepare all students to enter and succeed in college through effort, achievement, and the content of their character.
About
Founded as Troy Prep Middle School in 2009, our public schools serve Capital Region families with an instructional model that supports students’ academic and personal growth. Our teachers infuse joy into every day, creating an active learning environment to prepare every student to succeed in college, career and beyond. Troy Prep Middle joined the KIPP Public Schools network in July of 2022. Today, our school serves 250 students in fifth through grade eight.
At KIPP Troy Prep, our team of educators partner with students and families to ensure student success. All scholars are assigned to an advisor, a dedicated support who connects regularly with students and families to provide academic updates and assist in student development. Our school culture at KIPP Troy Prep Middle infuses joy in with rigorous academics to prepare students for success in high school and postsecondary paths. KIPP Troy Prep Middle has dedicated resource room teachers for one-on-one student acceleration to ensure every child is able to reach their full potential. creates an environment that allows the whole child to grow, with teachers using classroom community-building and social-emotional learning to support academic and character development.
